     A Passion for Dance

Dancing is really fun when you get to learn and enjoy it. It may take time and effort to learn a certain kind of dance but it will be worth it at the end. When you dance, it must be from the heart. I started dancing in a very young age and as time goes by, dancing has evolved. Dancing is a form of art where you can express your creativity and emotions in it. It’s really fun when you get to know what dancing really is. As I was saying, dancing has evolved and here are some popular kinds of dance or the history of dancing.

1. Ballet

Have you watched Barbie movies? Well for girls, they may recognize ballet in the movie. Barbie introduced ballet to me when I was a kid. When I saw them dancing, they danced very gracefully.  What is ballet? Here’s a short history of ballet.

Ballet began in the Italian Renaissance courts of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. It quickly spread to the French court of Catherine de' Medici where it was further developed. In Ballet, you have to have the passion and poise. Ballet is a flowing pattern to create expression through movements.

2. Jazz

The term "Jazz" was first applied to a style of music and dance during World War I. Jazz was a big hit in the early 50's and it is still a well-loved style of dance all over the world. Jazz and Ballet has similarities, both performs grace and balance. In this type of dance, the individual style and originality is observed.
