Tourist Attractions in the Philippines

Visiting the Philippines is a big fun. There are perfect beaches, friendly locals, and beautiful nature. Plus, it’s a great country to travel you’ll get a great value for your money. Our family is fond of going to places to witness how beautiful our country is.

Puerto Princesa Underground River (Palawan)

This is one of the most significant protected areas of the Philippines. The lower half of this river is salty and is subject to the oceans tide. It is a representative of Palawan Moist Forest, which are the most noteworthy in Asia. Puerto Princesa Underground River is now part as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

Banaue Rice Terraces (Ifugao)

Banaue Rice Terraces is now 2000 years old. This terraces is made by the Ifugao, a citizen Filipino and they made it by their own bare hands. The Rice Terraces are commonly referred to Filipinos as the Eight Wonder of the World. This is located in the remote areas of the Philippine Cordillera mountain range on the northern island of Luzon.

Chocolate Hills

The Chocolate Hills of Bohol is a spectacular nature wonder in the Philippines. Chocolate hills are covered in green grass that turns brown like chocolate during the dry season. This is a famous tourist attraction of Bohol. The hills are scattered throughout the towns of Carmen, Sagbayan and Batuan.

Baguio

Baguio is called as the summer capital of the Philippines. Baguio is at least eight degrees cooler than any other place in the lowlands. It is gifted with a variety of cultural, historical and scenic attractions which makes it an important and interesting destination.

Magellan’s Cross (Cebu)

Magellan planted a cross to signify this important event about the propagation of the Roman Catholic faith in what is now Cebu, in central Philippines. The original cross is reputedly encased in another wooden cross for protection, as people started chipping it away in the belief that it had miraculous healing powers.

Boracay

Boracay is very famous because of their white sand beach which is their sands is very smooth. The island of Boracay is very tourist friendly; in fact they developed and improved their facilities for more tourists to come. Boracay is the best place to be because they have very nice hotels just around the beach.

Corregidor Island

This place is the last island in the Philippines that captured by the Japanese. This is very historic and sentimental place not only for the Filipinos and Japanese but also for the Americans. You can see here the cannons that the Filipinos and Americans used to fight back over the Japanese ships and aircraft's.

Rizal Park (Manila)

Rizal Park also known as Luneta Park is a historical urban park located in the city of Manila. Luneta has been the site of some of the most significant moments in the Philippine history. Rizal Park has also gardens, historical markers, plazas, a grand stadium and so on.

Tagaytay

Tagaytay is one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations because of its outstanding cooler climate. Tagaytay overlooks Taal Lake in Batangas and provides one of the ironic views here in the Philippines.

Puerto Galera

Puerto Galera is a soothing vision of shimmering seas surrounded by lush mountains. It is considered one of the most beautiful and developed beach resort community in the country. The water of Puerto Galera is the certainly the main attraction of this island.

For me, we should visit the tourist attractions first in our country before anywhere else. A vacation in the Philippines is almost not fair- most tourists don't have enough time to visit all the places they'd like, and definitely won't have the time to explore the many attractions the Philippines holds. For those on a limited time schedule, there are a few attractions that shouldn't be missed at all costs.
